A solution for security on the internet. One of the problems on the net is knowing that the person you are talking to is who they say they are. This is where Digital Certificates come in. This is an encrypted piece of code that identifies who you are. At the start of a transaction, your Digital Certificate is looked at confirming you are who you claim to be.

DHTML is an addition to the html language for creating webpages. It is a scripting language that treats every element on the page as an object that can be freely manipulated. Simple animations, layering, transitions, sounds, and motion can all be defined in the webpage itself without the need for plugins.

Every host on the Internet has a numerical IP address. These addresses have corresponding domain names (ie. www.imagun.com). The domain name is more user friendly and easier to remember than an IP address(a bunch of numbers). In order to avoid duplicating names, however, hosts must make sure the name they want to use is not already taken. In order to do this they must register with InterNIC, an entity that oversees all domain names and which has recently started charging for this service. A name look-up must occur for each link that translates the domain name into an IP address. This name look-up can occur at primary, secondary, or cache name servers.
